Former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia hits back at her ex-fiance Tino Franco after his shady remarks about her. Keep reading for all the details of the drama between the two.
The Scandal That Rocked Season 19 Of The Bachelorette
Season 19 of The Bachelorette was controversial from the jump. In a shocking twist, ABC named Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey as joint leads of Season 19. They both competed on Clayton Echard‘s season of The Bachelor.
Kaitlyn Bristowe, who led Season 11 after the men voted for her over Britt Nilsson, was staunchly against a two-lead season.
The season ended with Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia engaged to their respective suitors. Windey was briefly engaged to Erich Schwer after the season ended, but Recchia’s engagement to Tino Franco didn’t even last beyond the After the Final Rose special.

The couple split up after Franco admitted to kissing another woman after filming wrapped. In a recent interview, he pulled a Ross Geller and claimed that he and Rachel Recchia were on a break at the time.

During an appearance on alum Courtney Robertson’s podcast, Tino Franco made some shady remarks about his former fiance hitting the beach. He said that he’d be watching the show, but to root for the friends he made during The Bachelorette, not to support his ex-fiance.
He also made a shocking claim that Rachel Recchia reached out to him, but he had no desire to talk to her. In fact, he said he didn’t think they would ever talk again.
How did Rachel Recchia react when word of his shady comments got back to her? Not well. Not well at all.
Rachel Recchia Hits Back At Tino Franco
The former Bachelorette was a guest on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast. She denied Tino Franco’s claim that she tried to call him. She threw a little shade of her own when she quipped, “I do think it’s interesting that a call is the only thing I guess you can’t provide like a receipt for.”
Recchia said she tried to look back at her call history to see if she had accidentally tried to contact him. However, she claimed her phone call log didn’t go back that far.
As for her ex-fiance’s claim that they were on a break, Recchia said there was more to the story than just a kiss. According to her, Franco had an “emotional connection” with the other woman.
In fact, she claims they were dating before he applied for the show and allegedly planned to continue dating after the show.
Rachel Recchia expressed frustration to Nick Viall that her ex won’t let her move on. Us Weekly reported that she said, “I just don’t understand, why am I not allowed to move on?”
