At a young age, television personality Al Roker wanted nothing more than to be a cartoonist, but like many, life had other plans. After receiving a degree in communications, the TODAY star found himself working as a weather anchor in New York. Shockingly, that was back in 1976. The following decades favored Roker as Americans all over the country watched him transform into one of the most recognized weather presenters. With his career always at the forefront, it seems the author has finally taken some time for himself. Recently, Roker hinted at a long overdue trip and where he went had fans noting he was finally living.
As many people looked forward to the weekend, on Friday, Al Roker reported from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Celebrating the new Minion Land addition to the park, fans believed Roker would travel back to New York in time for the new week. Surprisingly, Roker had other plans when he uploaded a video on Instagram, writing, “Welcome to the airport. Heading off on another trip.” He was still sure to include a little promotion, adding, “Guess what, a lot of folks coming up for November gonna be starting that holiday travel. And maybe you’ll be doing a Turkey Trot, maybe you’ve got a local 5K you wanna do.”
16,000 Steps In Paris
Leaving fans scratching their heads, Al Roker announced on Saturday that he took a much-needed trip to Paris. Snapping a picture in front of the Louvre, he again noted his love for walking. “I got to tell ya, I’m not rushing around, just walking around, and, man, before I knew it, I’ve got between the airport and just walking, 16,000 steps. Bam! Just like that!” But Roker didn’t travel to Paris just to walk. Roker’s daughter, Lelia, also lives in the city.
Fans shared their enthusiasm for Al Roker, commenting, “Looks who’s in Paris! Have a wonderful time in that heavenly city!” Another fan added, “From Orlando to Paris… livin’ the life Al Roker!”
Al Roker Misses Making Breakfast For His Children
Al Roker’s quick trip comes after he posted a heartfelt message about his son Nick in August. With college starting back, the anchor memorialized the last breakfast he made for him before Nick left for his sophomore year. “Only a few days left for me to make breakfast for Nick.”
Again, fans clamored to boost Al Roker’s outlook, explaining, “He’s going to miss those breakfasts you so lovingly make him when he’s home and I know you’ll miss having him there. Have a great year at college, Nick.”
