That was well above 2022’s 1.67m, which was the lowest on record.
There were 854,000 watching in Sydney, 623,000 in Brisbane and 349,000 in Melbourne.
MKR topped entertainment at a respectable 503,000 then Death in Paradise (305,000).
Earlier the Women’s NRL Premiership drew 414,000.
Nine network won Sunday with a massive 52.4% share, more than doubling Seven’s 23.0%, ABC’s 10.7%, 10’s 8.5% and SBS’ 5.4%.
Nine News drew 794,000.
Seven News still won with 829,000. ABBA Silver ABBA Gold repeated to 230,000 then The Disappearance of Grace Millane (137,000).
ABC News was 430,000. The Newsreader was 249,000, Antiques Roadshow (112,000), Voices of Australia (104,000) and Mother & Son (103,000).
10 had a tough night with The Sunday Project (199,000 / 166,000) then 10 News First (197,000 / 131,000), The Graham Norton Show (158,000) and NCIS: Hawaii (89,000 / 72,000).
On SBS it was also tough at SBS World News (139,000 / 82,000), Houdini’s Lost Diaries (63,000) and Rebel With A Cause (36,000).
Insiders led multichannels with 91,000 on ABC News.
