The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity launched for 10 last night drawing 486,000 metro viewers, one of its better premiere numbers of late, with comedian Dane Simpson & father Bow eliminated.
It was the second best entertainment show of the night and even eclipsed The Block in two older demos.
But The Block still came out on top at 589,000.
Meanwhile Hard Quiz (470,000), 7:30 (439,000) and The Voice: Road to the Grand Finale followed at 304,000.
Later RFDS wrapped its season at 279,000 then Mother & Son (253,000), Luxe Listings Sydney (237,000), WTFAQ (233,000) and Heat (206,000).
Nine network won Wednesday with 29.0% then Seven 26.9%, 10 18.7%, ABC 17.8% and SBS 7.6%.
Nine News (730,000 / 704,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair led at 671,000 then Hot Seat (361,000 / 225,000).
Seven News was #1 at 818,000 / 810,000. The Chase pulled 459,000 / 286,000 then Home & Away (449,000).
The Project pulled 295,000 / 180,000 for 10. 10 News First managed 187,000 / 136,000.
ABC News scored 537,000. Pointless (146,000), Would I Lie to You? (132,000), The Drum (125,000) and Starstruck (109,000) followed.
On SBS it was SBS World News (140,000 / 101,000), Bettany Hughes: Treasures of Estonia (117,000), While the Men Are Away saw a big lift in Total TV.
The Adventures of Paddington led multichannels at 103,000.
