Kelly Ripa Talks About A Possible Career Change
During Wednesday’s Live with Kelly and Mark, both Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa talked about a few things they would do if they ever became president. The conversation was prompted by discussing National Taco Day, which fell on a Wednesday this year.

According to Mark, National Taco Day should only fall on Tuesdays to coincide with the weekly Taco Tuesday. “When I’m president…” he joked. “Taco Tuesday will only be on Tuesday,” Kelly Ripa finished his thought. The audience all cheered for the idea.
Earlier in the show, Kelly talked about celebrating her birthday. Although it wasn’t a milestone year, her kids and husband still wanted to celebrate the matriarch of the family.
Kelly said that Mark insisted on having a rooftop dinner with the family. “It’s a Monday night birthday, which we can all agree,” she said to the audience. “When I’m President of the United States, all of our birthdays will only be held on Fridays.” They all cheered once again, seemingly in support of Kelly’s ideas.
What Had Kelly Crawling Under Her Desk On Live?
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos also took a few moments to discuss the nationwide emergency alarm test that was performed at 2:20 p.m. EST on Wednesday. “Your phones will be hit with an emergency alert. It’s just a test,” Mark stated.
Many people throughout the United States were suspicious of the alarm. However, both Kelly and Mark recalled various emergency tests that have been performed over the years.

For instance, Mark brought up the test of the emergency alert system that would pop up on television from time to time. On top of that, both Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos had to perform different drills and tests when they were in school.
Mark remembered having tornado drills at his school in the Midwest. Kelly said that she recalled nuclear bomb drills and tests of the alert systems.
“In grade school, we would have nuclear drills where if we were under a nuclear attack, all we would have to do to be safe is get under our desk,” Kelly told the audience. “So, I would get under the desk.” Then, she proceeded to act it out for the crowd, squatting underneath her desk.
At the time, Kelly said that she would always look at the student to the left or right of her and state that getting under the desk wasn’t going to help them. “‘My mom said this isn’t going to help us,’” she told them.
She crawled back out from underneath the desk and they continued throughout the rest of the show. Mark mentioned that he remembered seeing a film about the nuclear apocalypse, but he didn’t recall any nuclear bomb drills at school himself.
