The Golden Bachelor breaks the mold of traditional shows in the franchise, focusing on seniors looking for love later in life rather than 20somethings looking for their lifelong partner.
However, the spinoff still follows the same format as The Bachelor and Bachelorette. The 22 women hoping to find love with Gerry Turner entered the Bachelor mansion one by one with their own unique introductions.
One woman made quite the impression by revving up to the mansion on a motorcycle, earning the First Impression Rose later in the evening.
However, not everyone made a connection with Gerry Turner. He sent home six women during the first rose ceremony. With 16 women left, fans can expect the romance to kick into high gear starting tonight.

Turner turned 72 during filming, and cameras were there to catch the celebration. The Bachelor Nation Twitter teased the birthday celebration by sharing photos of Gerry Turner taking a bite from a massive cake.

The Golden Bachelor Gets Flirty With One Lucky Woman
We do know that Gerry Turner has a bonding moment with one of his contestants. ABC shared a clip from tonight’s episode on all of their social media platforms.
The clip shows the Golden Bachelor – who openly wears hearing aids in both ears – discover that he has something big in common with one of his potential loves.
In the clip, Gerry Turner enjoys a private moment with Leslie, telling her how sexy she is. But she lets him know there’s much more to her than just her looks.
After admitting that she’s sensitive, she lets him in on another little secret – she also wears hearing aids.
Once he finds out, he leans forward to whisper sweet nothings into her ear as she giggles and blushes. She later plays coy when asked what he said. “That’s for me to know,” Leslie told the cameras.
