Can pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev make it back to the ballroom in time for Tuesday’s episode?
That’s the question many Dancing With The Stars fans are wondering. Just ahead of Latin Night, Artem revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 and wouldn’t be able to compete. Former troupe member Ezra Sosa stepped in to compete with The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson. The pair performed well enough but slipped a bit on the leaderboard.
Last-minute changes like this often rattle competitors. So will Artem make it back in time for Motown Night?
Will Artem Chigvintsev perform with Charity Lawson this week?
The Dancing With The Stars community really loves Ezra Sosa. But many hoped Artem Chigvintsev would quickly get over this round of COVID-19 so he could get back into the competition.
So what’s going on?

“ARTEM IS BACK!” a Reddit user posted on the platform, sharing an Instagram video from Artem’s page. “I have a feeling they may be going last in next week’s running order since Charity will be dedicating the dance to her dad. Will miss Ezra, but glad to have my team back.”
“Most importantly, I’m glad it wasn’t as aggressive as the last time he had covid,” another Redditor added. Artem has battled health issues in the past, even dropping out of the Dancing With The Stars tour a few years ago.
“Yay!! So glad Artem is back. Ezra was a great sub but I love having Artem back. I’m glad he’s feeling better,” someone else chimed in.
On Artem’s Instagram story, he uploaded a quick video with Charity revealing that he will indeed compete this week. He didn’t offer too many details about their routine, but he confirmed Charity’s dad will play a role this week.

Dancing With The Stars prepares for “Motown Night”
Over the last several seasons, DWTS has had plenty of themed episodes. And it seems like Tuesday night is no exception. This week, the top 12 couples will compete to popular Motown hits. Charity and Artem will perform the Foxtrot to “My Girl” by The Temptations. Based on this information, it’s clear to see where Charity’s father will come into play.
Although Charity and Ezra Sosa performed their best on Latin Night, they were still dethroned from the leaderboard. Can Charity and Artem crawl back to the top after this week? At this point, anything could absolutely happen. The pair can win, but they’ll need to perform their best if they want to take home the Mirrorball Trophy.
