The 20-year-old may be distancing himself from his parents and their super strict rules. The Bates family is involved in the IBLP (Institute in Basic Life Principles) and adheres to strict rules. Growing up, the girls had to dress modestly and always wore long skirts or dresses. Now, some of the adult kids have changed their styles and dress in more modern styles. Based on the family’s strict conservative Christian beliefs, fans assume they would frown upon tattoos, piercings, and other similar modifications.
But Warden Bates might be pushing the limits with his new tattoo sleeve.

Of all of the Bates kids, Warden isn’t the most active on social media. However, his sister Carlin Bates Stewart shared a new YouTube video this weekend, and he made a brief appearance. The Bringing Up Bates stars traveled to Florida for Emerson Wells and Jackson Bates’ wedding on Saturday.
During the rehearsal, all of the groomsmen were lined up together and checking their phones. Warden was on the far left in the pale blue shirt. As you can see, it looks like he has a full tattoo sleeve on one of his arms. It’s black and white, but it’s unclear what the tattoo is of due to the angle and quality of the video.

On Reddit, fans and critics are discussing Warden Bates’ latest appearance. Many agree that he has to have real tattoos based on the look of his arm. One fan said, “They’re tattoos but is it real is the question? I can’t imagine he got real tattoos!”
Another added, “But why would you put on a sleeve of temporary tattoos right before a wedding though lol.”
Others did some digging through social media photos of Warden and saw that he didn’t have the tattoo just a couple of months ago. Some are curious to know how Kelly Jo and Gil Bates reacted if these are real tattoos.
Until fans have a closer look at Warden Bates’ possible tattoos, there is no way to know for sure. But this photo has certainly caught fans’ attention.
