North Carolina’s Child Protective Services (CPS) has officially opened an investigation on MTV’s Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason. This investigation comes after their 14-year-old son, Jace, ran away from his home for a third time last week. CPS Opens Investigation On Jenelle Evans & David Eason
Speaking to The Sun, to sources connected to law enforcement confirmed CPS has opened an investigation involving Jace running away from home on three separate occasions. The sources, however, declined to provide any additional details or comments on the investigation. The Sun also reached out to North Carolina’s Child Protective Services (CPS) who also declined to release a comment on the situation.
A source close to the situation confirmed that Jace is not currently at home with Jenelle and her husband David Eason. Instead, Jace is in the custody of CPS. The source affirmed to The Sun that Jace was completely fine and currently going through “the care process” while the investigation took place.

Jenelle’s Mom Barbara Accuses Of Medical Neglect
Speaking to the press, Jenelle Evans’ mother Barbara has accused her daughter of medical neglect when it comes to Jace. Barbara explained that Jace was on ADHD medication. Medication he has taken for years. Medication that Jenelle and David stopped giving to him.
Moreover, Barbara also accused Jenelle of not taking Jace to see his behavior health therapist. Typically, most insurance providers require an appointment with a behavior health therapist once every three months when they are receiving medication for a mental health condition such as ADHD.

A Representative of Jenelle Evans Addresses Situation
A representative of the Teen Mom alum denied having any knowledge the MTV personality was being investigated by CPS. They, however, did issue a statement regarding both Jenelle and Jace.
It is standard protocol to evaluate the child’s mental health and this is part of his healing process. He was not harmed, and he did not harm himself. Jenelle and her family are asking for privacy and prayers during this time.”
Sadly, Jenelle Evans’ connection to the Teen Mom franchise and the reality TV world makes it unlikely that she’ll get the “privacy” she has requested during this difficult time. In fact, most fans assume it is only a matter of time before her mother speaks to the press again. As TV Shows Ace reported, Jenelle Evans tried to file a restraining order against her mother to prevent this from happening. The judge, however, shut it down because they believed it was unfounded.
