There has been an update on the Shannon Beador animal cruelty investigation. The RHOC star had come under fire for driving under the influence while having her pup in the car with her. Shannon Beador Update On Animal Cruelty Investigation
After Shannon Beador’s hit-and-run, she drove off and then acted as if she was walking her dog, Archie. It was strange that she had her dog in the car, but she was soon arrested for a DUI. Eventually, at the end of September, it came out that she was going to be investigated for animal cruelty. “We don’t have animal endangering laws like you would with children but we do have animal cruelty laws, so he’s going to look into that a little bit further,” the Newport Police Department said of the animal control unit officer.

So, what is going on with the RHOC star and her animal cruelty situation? According to Radar Online, the case has been officially closed. Per the Newport Beach Police Department: “Our animal control officer looked into the incident, and there was no injury to the dog and no crime related to the dog.” It seems that Archie is doing just fine despite what happened that fateful night. Even an insider added he was “completely normal” post-accident which is great news.

Around the time of the hit-and-run, another insider shared Shannon Beador was truly looking out for Archie. “She’s going to have him checked out to be safe,” they noted. Along with that, he was “eating, sleeping, and playing normally.” It was a rough transition for Archie when Shannon’s twins Stella and Adeline left for college this year. She documented them saying goodbye to the pup on social media and how sad he was. More so, she has expressed how hard it has been for her to be an empty nester, as well.
Will She Be Back For Season 18?
It is unclear who will be back for Season 18 of RHOC as the current season has just ended. Therefore, time will tell but Shannon Beador is one of the key players Bravo would like back. This is largely in part to her recent arrest. It is something they would like to follow but again, time will tell. As for her and Archie, PETA did release a statement after the incident happened.
“If your dog or child is in a vehicle or even waiting for you at home, that’s an extra incentive never to drive drunk or buzzed, although looking out for strangers and for yourself should already be enough to convince you not to drink and drive. PETA’s glad Shannon Beador and her dog are safe now, and we hope they get over the trauma swiftly.”
