After the full DWTS cast list came out, many weren’t pleased to see Jamie Lynn Spears’ name. After all the controversy surrounding her involvement in Britney Spears’ conservatorship, many didn’t think she deserved to be on the show.

But as for Alan Bersten, he thinks the public has been too rough with Jamie Lynn Spears. After the elimination, he had nothing but kind things to say about her to the press.
“Honestly, I think people would be so surprised at how awesome Jamie Lynn is,” Alan shared with Entertainment Weekly. “She works so hard but there was never a hard day. People might assume things of people, but at the end of the day, she was such a sweet person and honestly, I’m going to miss dancing with her.”

Although Alan is likely aware of the Free Britney movement, he told EW he isn’t very active on social media these days. He chose to speak positively about Jamie Lynn and hoped others would see the good in her too.
“The more positivity in the world, the better, that’s all I think. As long as people are healthy and happy, there shouldn’t be any negativity,” he said.

After Jamie Lynn Spears announced she would join DWTS Season 32, reports indicated that Britney wasn’t happy about the situation.
“Britney isn’t thrilled about Jamie Lynn doing Dancing With The Stars,” a source allegedly told ET. “[Britney] feels like it’s bad timing, especially with the current situation she’s dealing with in her split with Sam. She feels continuously disappointed by her family, and it definitely stings. She doesn’t plan to watch Jamie Lynn on the show, and their relationship is strained.”
After hearing this, it’s entirely possible Britney’s fanbase intentionally voted to save all the other contestants and send Jamie Lynn packing. The truth may never be clear, but Britney’s fans have voiced their distaste for Jamie Lynn Spears online.
