The sixth and final season of The Crown will be released in two parts on Netflix. Part 1 will premiere November 16 with the first four episodes. Part 2 will premiere December 14 with the final six episodes. The season covers events from 1997 through 2005. A relationship blossoms between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful car journey has devastating consequences. Prince William tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion. As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles and Camilla and the beginnings of a new Royal fairytale in William and Kate. 

Planet Earth III premieres November 4 on BBC America and AMC+. The series will journey across the continents revealing the wonders of our planet. This spellbinding series will feature never before seen behavior, and dive deep into the stories and animal characters which reflect the new challenges that wildlife face in our modern, crowded world. The series will also highlight the growing need to preserve and restore nature. In the final episode, viewers will meet some of the dedicated ‘heroes’ across the globe who put their lives on the line to protect the wildlife and the critically important ecosystems of Planet Earth. 

CrimeFeed premieres October 11 on ID. Hosted by Nancy Grace, the series will dig into the top true crime stories of the moment as they unfold in real time. Mara S. Campo and Derrick Levasseur along with Grace will end their extensive knowledge and expertise as they evaluate each story, weighing in on everything from the legal and police proceedings to the forensics in the investigation. Grace, Campo and Levasseur will also be joined by a variety of guests such as investigators, survivors, true crime experts, attorneys and law enforcement throughout each segment. 

Disney+’s Tiana animated series will premiere in 2024. The musical followup to the film The Princess and the Frog follows Tiana as she sets off for a grand new adventure as the newly crowned Princess of Maldonia, but a calling to her New Orleans past isn’t far behind. The series was previously expected to release in 2023. 

The WGA membership has voted to ratify their new agreement with the AMPTP. The three year deal received a vote of 99% yes. 

Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie premieres December 8 on Peacock. Monk returns to solve one last, very personal case involving his beloved stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding. Tony Shalhoub returns along with Ted Levine, Jason Gray-Stanford, Traylor Howard, Melora Hardin, and Hector Elizondo. Caitlin McGee and James Purefoy also join the cast.

The Bad Guys prequel movie The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday premieres on Netflix November 30. In this new adventure set before the events of the feature, there’s nothing the Bad Guys love more than Christmas morning — because while everyone is home opening presents, it’s the perfect time to execute their city-wide holiday heist. But when Christmas is unexpectedly canceled, the Bad Guys must do the unthinkable: reignite the city’s holiday spirit by giving instead of taking. 

Faraway Downs premieres on hulu November 26. It is an inspiring epic adventure and reimagined extended version of Baz Luhrmann’s 2008 film Australia. Starring Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Bryan Brown, Brandon Walters and Ben Mendelsohn, the story centers on English aristocrat Lady Sarah Ashley, who travels halfway across the world to confront her wayward husband and sell an unusual asset: Faraway Downs, a million-acre cattle ranch in the Australian outback. Following the death of her husband, a ruthless Australian cattle baron, King Carney plots to take her land, and she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle drover to protect her ranch. The sweeping adventure-romance is explored through the eyes of young Nullah, an Indigenous Australian child caught up in the government’s Draconian racial policy now referred to as the Stolen Generations. Together, the trio experiences four life-altering years, a love affair between Lady Ashley and the drover, and the unavoidable impact of World War II on Northern Australia. 

Documentary Shohei Ohtani: Beyond the Dream premieres on ESPN+ November 17. Featuring an unprecedented in-depth series of interviews with Ohtani and the coaches, players, managers and mentors that have influenced him, the documentary takes an introspective look at Ohtani’s illustrious career, from his humble beginnings in rural Japan, through his journey to becoming a two-way player, the start of his professional career with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, and his long-awaited transition to the MLB with the Los Angeles Angels.
