Comedy may be all about timing but unfortunately the conflict in the Middle East has seen new Stan series C*A*U*G*H*T cancel plans to present at MIPCOM in Cannes.
“In light of the current situation unfolding in Israel, we have taken the decision not to showcase C*A*U*G*H*T at MIPCOM this year,” Fremantle said in a statement. “At this time, our hearts and thoughts are with our colleagues and our partners in Israel, and all those affected.”
C*A*U*G*H*T which centres around soldiers taken hostage in a fictional Indo-Pacific territory, was meant to hold a Media Mastermind Keynote at the international TV conference on October 18.
Executive Producer Sean Penn was set to be in attendance, along with Matthew Fox and creator, director and star Kick Gurry.
The series is currently screening on Stan.
